Profiles in Leadership: Andy Goldman, Regional Board Chair

  • September 5, 2014

ADL lay leaders are central to helping the League accomplish its mission of “stopping the defamation of the Jewish people and securing justice and fair treatment to all” in the region. Every month, Profiles in Leadership highlights a different leader and their invaluable contributions to ADL and the eastern PA/southern NJ/DE community.

Name: Andy Goldman

Occupation: Co-Founding Principal at RubinGoldman and Associates

Hometown: Narberth, PA

ADL Role: Regional Board Chair

Why did you get involved in ADL?

Having experienced the effects of anti-Semitic remarks directed at my son, Billy, while he was an incoming freshman at a local Philadelphia Quaker School, I wanted to both show him one way to respond and also try to be a part of the effort to stimulate a change and make a difference.

What is your favorite ADL memory?

My favorite memory was attending the graduation of the 9th grade No Place for Hate/ADL Peer Training class at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, in June 2006 with former ADL Regional Director Barry Morrison.

As a leader in the community, what advice can you give to people who want to help combat hate in the region?

Speak up, let your voice be heard and get involved.  Call me or any other ADL officer or Executive Committee member. Call this number, 215-568-2223, to speak to any one of our professional staff members.
